Industrial Controller


  • She/He will be a valued finance business partner and finance advisor to department / métier owners and project teams; enabling them to make key business decisions   
  • Lead, prepare and present métier overhead and head count budget / forecast, hourly rate development, and under/over recovery assessment  
  • Review monthly financial performance with métier owners actual v. budget/forecast and highlight areas that need attention to achieve financial targets
  • Support strategic capital investment initiatives
  • Manage capital expenditure process including budget development, project initiation, project closures; track, monitor and publish capex dashboard
  • Provide analytical and decision support for new tenders: perform scenario planning and sensitivity analysis on various cost drivers
  • Provide visibility to métier owners on labor utilization, labor productivity, overtime spending; recommend and implement cost saving ideas and productivity improvement
  • Liaise with the finance reporting team and finance project managers on month end closing and reporting
  • Assist Site Controller with the preparation of monthly business review presentations
  • Provide early warning; highlight risks and opportunities as they arise
  • Enforce and ensure company polices, accounting guidelines and code of ethics are strictly adhered to
  • Support special projects as required


Background Required

  • Bachelor’s degree is required with preference of majors of Accounting/Finance
  • Masters degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in finance / cost accounting in an industrial environment
  • Expert knowledge of key tools and systems including SAP and Microsoft Office platforms
  • Knowledge of GAAP / IFRS accounting guidelines
  • Able to work independently in a fast paced, matrix organization with a diverse work-team
  • High energy and pro-active
  • Analytical and critical thinking mindset
  • Team player, sense of urgency, accountability
