Rate of Pay:    $103,230 - $113,000/year

 

Duties: Gather industrial requirements during product specification and design. Participate in product design in a co-engineering mode, using appropriate methodologies. Design macro-process based on standard SMP (Standard Manufacturing Procedures). Prepare for the introduction of new technologies if needed, along with an associated process validation plan. Identify the need for specific manufacturing equipment. Estimate method times and perform preliminary line balancing. Identify critical process steps for detailed Process FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) and full FAR (First Article Review) / FAI (First Article Inspection). Complete industrial documentation, including industrial data sheets and IMFU (Industrial Maturity FollowUp). Perform P-FMEA (Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis). Participate in the validation of prototypes. Develop specifications for industrial means required for serial production. Define workstation layouts, considering ergonomic and EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) rules, and optimize movements. Perform a complete and detailed line balancing. Validate product design and industrialization through FAR and FAI. Industrialize retrofits following engineering changes, including documentation and workstation definition/update. Collect and implement industrial REX (Return on Experience) on manufacturing processes.

 

Up to 30% international travel required.

 

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a DME Engineer-related occupation.
