ALSTOM Hong Kong Limited has been a major supplier of trains, signaling systems, infrastructure and services (maintenance, renovation and parts supply) to MTR Corporation over the last 40 years. Since the first metro project in Hong Kong in 1975, ALSTOM Hong Kong Limited has supplied over 1,100 metro cars for its metro network and equipped seven lines with signaling systems currently in operation, contributing positively to the urban transport system development in Hong Kong.


We are looking for Project EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) Manager based in Hong Kong to join our dynamic team. We deliver multiple signaling projects to our customer MTR with dedication to sustainable and smart mobility in the field of design, engineering, installation and test & commissioning. What are my responsibilities?

  • Deploy Alstom internal Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, standards and tools at project level, in consistency with applicable contractual and legislative requirements to the Project.

  • Monitor, implement and review safety management plan, training plan, emergency plan and risk assessment according to Project's progress.

  • Conduct investigations and produce REX reports relating to accident or incident, and communicate REX reports in case of severe or potentially severe accidents.

  • Coordinate and attend EHS meetings to review issues, report trends and implement EHS programs.

  • Maintain appropriate records and documentation of the Project.

  • Deliver EHS support during project execution, produce monthly safety reports and handle requests from Client.

  • Handle internal and external safety audits.

  • Develop and foster a safety culture to drive for continuous improvement and establish safety initiatives in the workplaces.

  • Assist the Corporate EHS Manager to coach and assess the EHS teams in the Project.

  • May require night-shift occasionally to meet project’s requirement. (e.g. inspection, audit)


What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Bachelor Degree or related Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health
  • Registered Safety Officer under Labour Department HKSAR and certificate of Environmental Officer is a must; Registered Safety Auditor is preferred;
  • Minimum 10 years' relevant EHS working experience with at least 3 years' experience in MTR (railway) projects
  • Holder of First Aid Certificate is preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel and Power point presentation
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Able to work under pressure with key deliverable timeline
  • Self-initiative, strong sense of responsibility, good interpersonal and team communication skill
