ALSTOM Hong Kong Limited has been a major supplier of trains, signaling systems, infrastructure and services (maintenance, renovation and parts supply) to MTR Corporation over the last 40 years. Since the first metro project in Hong Kong in 1975, ALSTOM Hong Kong Limited has supplied over 1,100 metro cars for its metro network and equipped seven lines with signaling systems currently in operation, contributing positively to the urban transport system development in Hong Kong.

 

We are looking for Project Coordinator based in Hong Kong to join our dynamic team. We deliver multiple signaling projects to our customer MTR with dedication to sustainable and smart mobility in the field of design, engineering, installation and test & commissioning. You will be responsible for:

1/ Contribute to successful Project execution on allocated signaling project scope of work: 

  • Apply Project Strategy according to defined contractual and Project commitments and targets, as allocated on signaling project.
  • Actively contribute to Project performance
  • Alert in case of deviations impacting project objectives; actively contribute to risks and opportunity management
  • Ensure compliance with applicable rules, instructions and standards, process & tools: Code of Ethics & Compliance, Environment Health & Safety (EHS), Railway Safety, Quality, Sourcing, PMM.

 

2/ Lead and coordinate signaling project activities and stakeholders, from requirement capture/analysis to the end of project contractual obligations limited to the signaling project scope of work: 

  • Deliver the QCDP commitment of their signaling project Work Package scope, through proper execution and delivery.
  • Cascade and allocate signaling project requirements and QCDP objectives to signaling project team members
  • Implement and execute the scope of work according to the respective Signaling project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), as defined at Project level at the beginning of the project 
  • Plan, monitor, control and manage signaling project end-to-end activities (scope, schedule, resources, cost, risks, saving, opportunities)
  • Coordinate and support consistent execution of signaling project objectives, activities and deliverables (Engineering, Research & Development programs, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Indus when applicable, RAMS…). 
  • Assist PM/PD to lead teams in successful achievement of project objectives, synchronize stakeholders at signaling project level and ensure stakeholder alignments
  • Assist PM/PD to perform signaling project level decisions and trade-offs
  • Assist PM/PD to rebase lining and change management at signaling project level
  • Manage signaling project situation and Key Performance Indicators, and report with transparency 
  • Upon request from PM, is delegated to represent Alstom towards Customer and external stakeholders
  • Specific to Project coordinator to assist PM/PD, the major part of his/her time constitutes the coordination with Engineering (technical spec and BOQ deliveries), Sourcing (PO requirements), Supply Chain (mainly Logistics Plan). Additionally, the FAT process it at the heart of his/her responsibility (i.e. Contractual requirement capture, test plan, collection of evidence, validation of requirement compliance).

 

3/ Coordinate and synchronize signaling project activities with other signaling project and sub-system teams:

  • Actively contribute to the resolution of overarching/transverse optimizations or issues 
  • Manage interface with sub-system-level team members & project office (e.g., industrialization, control of configuration management, sourcing, quality) and ask, if necessary, for sub-system manager arbitration
  • Specific to a Project coordinator to assist PM/PD is the management of all the signaling projects of his/her sub-system and not only of a single signaling project.
  • Performance measurements:
  • Delivery of signaling project in accordance with QCD targets (QCD KPIs) and all contractual requirements

You are expected to have these credentials:

  • Holder of Master Degree or Bachelor Degree in any Engineering discipline
  • 2 years of experience as supervisor of an operational scope
  • Experience of working in and with multi-national companies and in different business cultures
  • Knowledgeable of ALSTOM way of working for efficient process execution preferred
  • Global knowledge on the Signalling project 
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Coordination and financial skills 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Result oriented
  • Knowledge of Project management processes
  • Capability to coordinate and ensure collaboration of multi-functional teams
