ALSTOM Hong Kong Limited has been a major supplier of trains, signaling systems, infrastructure and services (maintenance, renovation and parts supply) to MTR Corporation over the last 40 years. Since the first metro project in Hong Kong in 1975, ALSTOM Hong Kong Limited has supplied over 1,100 metro cars for its metro network and equipped seven lines with signaling systems currently in operation, contributing positively to the urban transport system development in Hong Kong.

 

We are looking for Installation Supervisor based in Hong Kong to join our dynamic team. We deliver multiple signaling projects to our customer MTR with dedication to sustainable and smart mobility in the field of design, engineering, installation and test & commissioning. You will be responsible for:

 

  • Ensure compliance with design documentation and Supervisor Installation orientation / instruction
  • Ensure compliance with EHS procedures and maintenance of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
  • Eensure collective protections are in place, and alerting the Installation Supervisor and/or Project SiteManager whenever any deviation to rules or risk is identified
  • Confirm installation execution readiness (man, machines, material, method)
  • Ensure installation activities are performed without deviations, following design, methods, and qualitystandards
  • Report and alert the hieratical superior if any risk, deviations, or issues are identified during the installationactivities that may impact the safety, the quality and/or the work performance
  • Applies the method statement/ installation procedures according design documentation or report on anydeviation needed. Makes sure the EHS requirements are clearly and followed

 

In addition, as Team Leader he/she will assume following responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the team for performing a task in a work location: review up to date documentation, verify tools,verify skills and train worker if required, verify availability of material and equipment for the team to performthe tasks required, make sure access is given for performing the work, etc…
  • Perform reports as per request to the Installation Supervisor and/or Project Site Manager: daily progressreport, survey report, anomaly report, EHS report, preparation of Handover report, etc…
  • Ensure compliance of Installation activities with D&IS Installation and FO Process

 

You are expected to have these credentials:

 

  • 4 years of above experience in installation of electrical system or mechanical fixing
  • Experience in railway industry is preferred, but not essential
  • Holder of Electrician “A” from EMSD is an advantage
  • Proficient in Cantonese and some basic English
  • Driving project cars (7 seats vehicles) will be required for those who obtained valid driving license (No. 1 & 2)
  • Willing to work at night shifts and site works (This position is a full-time night work position.)
