ALSTOM Hong Kong Limited has been a major supplier of trains, signaling systems, infrastructure and services (maintenance, renovation and parts supply) to MTR Corporation over the last 40 years. Since the first metro project in Hong Kong in 1975, ALSTOM Hong Kong Limited has supplied over 1,100 metro cars for its metro network and equipped seven lines with signaling systems currently in operation, contributing positively to the urban transport system development in Hong Kong.

 

We are looking for Installation Manager based in Hong Kong to join our dynamic team. We deliver multiple signaling projects to our customer MTR with dedication to sustainable and smart mobility in the field of design, engineering, installation and test & commissioning. JOB SCOPE: Plan and manage all site operations in close cooperation with Project Manager and Project Director, Installation Engineering and Design activities, Procurement and Logistics, Testing and Commissioning ensuring integration on field and installation of the complete System. He/she has end-to-end accountability at project level, from a QCD and performance points of view for his/her scope in compliance with Signalling and security strategy, policies, local regulations and standards.
 
Responsibilities

In compliance to EHS (Zero Deviation) and Regulatory standards, he/she is in charge of operational coordination of all project activities related to Site Works, including:

  • Deliver the installation elements of the project programme to time, quality and resource plan\

  • Management and organization of site activities, including sites facilities, resources plan, site access and tools

  • Delivering and maintaining of plans, procedures, Work Method Statements for Installation and Test & Commissioning Plans

  • Management of Work Package assigned for Site Operations

  • Management of Installation Works for all Sub-Systems and System equipment and related performance, including monitoring and leading actions on planning, risks, opportunities, best practices, non-conformities, technical interfaces

  • Management of Sub-contractors, including monitoring of quality and delivery through site visits, inspections and assessments

  • Management of the interfaces with 3rd Parties such as facilities providers, Civil Work partners, etc…

  • Coordination of Installation Engineering & Design for the complete System, based on all necessary inputs provided by the Sub-System Engineering

  • Industrial, Procurement and Logistics activities:

  • Coordination of the Procurement activities under the Sub-Systems responsibility and of the field & installation equipment

  • Coordination of the Logistic activities (incl. warehouse management)

  • Deployment and application of Signalling Installation Process on Site

  • Continuous improvement:

  • Assurance of continuous Installation performance improvement within the Project

  • Contribution to best practices definition and REX within the Product Line

  • Participation to Process / “Metier” improvement workgroup when requested, to propose update/improvement of the Installation and T&C way of working, process, tools and RefLib

  • Assurance of EHS compliance (Zero deviation) through EHS plan, site inspections, people assessment etc…

  
Experience

  • Degree in Engineering

  • At least 10 years of experience in field work execution in the railway sector, with at least 5 years of managerial experience  

  • Strong understanding of interface processes between civil works and rail sub-systems

  • Experience in Environment, Health & Safety, knowledge of local legal requirements

  • Experience in management and evaluation of subcontractors

  • Team spirit approach and good communication skills

  • Possess the agility to adapt to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment
