ALSTOM Hong Kong Limited has been a major supplier of trains, signaling systems, infrastructure and services(maintenance, renovation and parts supply) to MTR Corporation over the last 50 years. Since the first metroproject in Hong Kong in 1975, ALSTOM Hong Kong Limited has supplied over 1,100 metro cars for its metronetwork and equipped seven lines with signaling systems currently in operation, contributing positively to theurban transport system development in Hong Kong.

We are looking for Innovation Champion based in Hong Kong to join our dynamic team. We delivermultiple signaling projects to our customer MTR with dedication to sustainable and smart mobility in the field ofdesign, engineering, installation and test & commissioning. Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your tech product creation and management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Hong Kong office and be part of APAC Innovation team, working alongside passionate and driven teammates.

You'll help us achieve our Alstom 2030 strategy through innovation. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with our clients, teams across the business (project and customer directors), government agencies, start-ups and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of one or several Innovation mobility projects and transform them into reality.

We’ll look to you to:

• Foster and strengthen open innovation ecosystem
• Bring new ideas and identify new opportunities with the right team and partners
• Structure the project (Scope, schedule, budget, ROI) and get project / Station approval.
• Scale up the project at the regional level
• Link with Alstom R&D platform and projects in the region for collaboration
• Link with APAC ecosystem for collaboration (Universities, public agencies, Start Up, customers..)

Key activities to succeed:

Business development

• Develop communication strategy and content for client and key stakeholders
• Support funding research, process and presentation
• Support client presentation and technical proposal
• Explore new opportunities with internal teams, client and partners, and develop them into fruition with customer, i.e. securing the opportunity.

Innovation pipeline

• Contribute to the development and implementation of the open innovation framework.
• Design and facilitate workshop to facilitate ideation, solution design, collaboration and new solution adoption
• Lead Innovation competitions in your region
• Develop and manage the innovation pipeline, timelines and resources, ensuring a consistent flow of high-potential projects.
• Oversee the prototyping, testing and piloting of new products, solutions and services.

Process Improvement & Best Practices

• Secure adherence of existing Alstom processes
• Develop and implement best practices for innovation program management.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Share your experience and best practices with Innovation community
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in innovation management and open innovation

Project Management

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk assessment, and communication strategies
• Utilize and support team in project management methodologies application (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Proactively address potential roadblocks.
• Track and report on project progress, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders based on standard communication support and dashboard with relevant KPI.

• Experience in tech product creation and management:
  • Tech (robotic, data, digital) product development, from ideation to commercialization
  • Product design
  • Data and Software architecture concepts

  • General knowledge in Computer Science
  • Experience in Data and AI products
  • Tech team management
• Experience in Innovation
  • Experience / contacts with Tech eco-system (customers, maintainer, operator, Universities, governmental agencies, Start Up)
  • Business / Tech opportunities identification and assessment
  • Ideation and design workshop management
  • Patent management
• Experience in Project management
  • Stakeholder management (customer, management, supplier, support function)
  • Budget management
  • Planning
  • Risk management
  • Change management / deployment of new product
  • Manage ambiguity and priorities and negotiate tradeoffs
  • Agile methodology
• Interest in Railway, green mobility
• Open to business travel within APAC (<25% of the time)
