Could you be the full-time VIE - Cost Manager we’re looking for? 

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your cost management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a multicultural, passionate, and forward-thinking team driving change and innovation. You’ll specifically take care of coordinating cost management activities, maintaining financial baselines, and creating dashboards, but also supporting risk management and cost control initiatives.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Promoting a proactive cost culture across projects and the site
  • Driving automation by questioning the status quo and proposing innovative solutions
  • Coordinating cost management activities along multiple projects/sites/tenders
  • Ensuring traceability and transparency of cost development versus baselines
  • Identifying and participating in cost optimization activities and value-adding opportunities
  • Providing cost management deliverables on time and aligned with stakeholder needs
  • Creating and maintaining financial cockpits and cost baselines
  • Developing user-friendly dashboards and visualizations using tools like Power BI
  • Supporting risk management and cost control processes

 

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a similar qualification
  • Fluency in English (German is preferrable)
  • Basic understanding of engineering workflows
  • Experience consolidating data from various sources and presenting it visually
  • Practical experience with Excel Tables, Pivots, and PowerQuery (highly desirable or willingness to learn)
  • Familiarity with data flows and data visualization tools like Power BI
  • Commercial and Financial acumen
  • Understanding of Work/Cost Breakdown Structures, forecasting, and interdependencies
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn new tools and methodologies
  • Experience with ERP systems (ex. SAP/Oracle)
  • Knowledge of project management principles (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (desired)
