Your Future Role

The locally developed, manufactured, and maintained product range includes high-speed, regional, and local trains, subways, as well as trams and light rail vehicles. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to Software & Control TCIS Domain Leader and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

 

We’ll look for you to :

 

  • Represent the primary figure in validating the TC&IS Development, Configuration, Validation, and Management Plan application.

  • Ensure that the specified software quality requirements outlined in the System Engineering and TCMS Software Quality Plan are achieved by team members according to their assigned responsibilities.

  • Take ownership of quality across all domains of your project (Schematic, Apparatus, Software, etc.).

  • Manage design planning and ensure the successful completion of Design/Verification reviews at all stages of the Design For Quality cycle.

  • Deliver all TC&IS engineering outputs, including TCMS RSADs, Software Specifications, Functional Design Descriptions (FDD), Software, Electrical Schemes, and Electrical Product definitions (in collaboration with the Electrical Lead Engineer), in alignment with Engineering Quality Cost Delay commitments.

  • Manage interfaces and ensure follow-up on subsystems (electrical components, PACIS, CCTV, Multimedia, TCMS, Event Recorder, Train Ground Communication, ATC/Safety equipment).

  • Act as the point of contact for ensuring standardization and maximizing the carryover from previous projects.

  • Support Industrial and Manufacturing areas during First Train Assembly and assist in Commissioning and Validation during First Train tests.

  • Take responsibility for the functional management of the Train Control & IS resources assigned to your project.

  • Have opportunities to formulate design solutions that meet specified customer requirements by defining the architecture and performance of TCIS subsystems and conducting functional studies for which you are responsible, while maximizing the reuse of service-proven design patterns.

  • Monitor, control, and consolidate the TC&IS work package (including Work Package Reviews, risk mitigation, and Quality Cost Delay project targets) and ensure accurate reporting to the Project Engineering Manager.

  • Define the applicable TCMS configuration (low voltage scheme, apparatus, and software version) in collaboration with the Train System Engineer, Train Design Engineer, Project Engineering Manager, and their team.

  • Contribute to the collection of experiences within your domain (Software, Schematic, Apparatus).

  • Excellent English language skills ; proficiency in German is a strong advantage.

  • Senior-level professional experience in Project Management, including leading large-scale projects and technical capacity.

  • Hands-on experience in electrical and schematic design activities.

  • Practical experience in the design and development of model-based control systems utilizing application tools such as Control Build, Matlab/Simulink, Matrix, or similar platforms.

  • Knowledge of network topologies and interfaces for Serial, Ethernet, MVB, and other industrial communication networks.

  • A structured work approach with a results-oriented and process-driven working style.
