We are currently looking to recruit a Train Control Engineer for our site in Hennigsdorf, Germany.



Manage the development of all Train Control & Information Systems (TC&IS) deliverables for a project from offer over specification, design and validation until end of warranty period.



International teams, large international projects, varying challenging tasks


  • Manage TC&IS functions in the project
  • Formulate a design solution that fulfils the customer requirements
  • Define the architecture and performance of the TC&IS subsystems and functional studies, thereby maximize the reuse of service-proven design patterns
  • Monitore, control and consolidate the TC&IS work packages
  • Ensure the reporting activities to the Project Engineering Manager of the project
  • Define the applicable Train Control and Monitoring System (TCMS) configuration
  • Contribute to the return of experience


  • Validate the TC&IS development, configuration, validation and management plan application
  • Enable your team members to work efficiently
  • Ensure achievement of quality, cost and deplay targets
  • Manage the design planning and ensure achievement of the Design/Verification reviews
  • Deliver all TC&IS engineering outputs, like requirement and software specifications, architecture and design specifications, electrical schematics and software
  • Manage interfaces and ensure follow up of subsystem deliverables (electrical components, PACIS, CCTV, Multimedia, TCMS, Event Recorder, Train Ground Communication, ATC/Safety equipment)
  • Ensure standardization and maximize the carry over from previous projects
  • Support industrial and manufacturing during first train assembly
  • Support commissioning and validation during first train tests


  • Master's degree in computer science, engineering or comparable
  • English language
  • Rolling stock functional engineer experiences on several train functions
  • Work package and team management experiences
  • Hands-on experience in electrical and schematic design
  • Hands-on experience in design & development of model based control systems (with Control Build, Matlab/Simulink, Matrix or similar tools)
  • Knowledge of network topologies and interfaces for Ethernet, MVB, serial interfaces and other industrial communication network.
