Your Future Role

 

2,100 colleagues from 46 countries, including 800 engineers, shape in Hennigsdorf the future of rail mobility. The locally developed, manufactured, and maintained product range includes high-speed, regional, and local trains, subways, as well as trams and light rail vehicles. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to the Test Laboratory Manager and manage the accredited Test Lab team technically with regard to the quality management (QM) of the test center.

 

We’ll look for you to :

 

  • Implements, ensures the management and continuous improvement of the quality system of the testing laboratory, guaranteeing the standards in force and the provisions of the management

  • Ensure the follow-up and completion of the quality action plan resulting from audits, reviews, etc.

  • Management of documents of the quality management system of the testing laboratory (manual, instructions, work instructions, methods), in connection with the site quality system

  • Preparation of management reviews, audits of the testing laboratory with the laboratory manager

  • Ensuring the monitoring, calibration and auditing of measuring and testing equipment

  • Promoting the reuse of existing documents and quality procedures within the certification and validation staff

  • Follow-up of the action plans of the test laboratory

  • Development of quality objectives for the organisation

  • Development of standards for quality assurance of processes and products

  • Preparation / further development of the quality management manual

  • Communication of quality objectives to employees

  • Conducting audits for certification, testing, documentation and improvement of current processes

  • Development and implementation of quality management related training courses for employees

 

All About You

  • Completed university of applied sciences or University degree in mechanical / electrical engineering preferably with a focus on quality management.

  • Practical experience in the quality area (at least 2 years experience in the railway or health, defence, aerospace, automotive sectors).

  • Purpose, content and organisational structure of a QM system.

  • Development and introduction of a QM system.

  • Standardisation system DIN EN ISO 9000-9004, standard DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.

  • Ability to analyse and design in order to identify weak points and optimise processes.

  • Confident in dealing with legal and corporate regulations and standards.

  • Soft skills such as assertiveness, communication skills, organisational talent and a focused way of working.

  • Experience in carrying out physical and functional tests on rail vehicles

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and software design of rail vehicles

  • Quality-oriented working style 

  • Experience in an international working environment

  • Fluent in English and German (French beneficial)
