Could you be the full-time Test Engineer (f/m/d) in Hennigsdorf we’re looking for?

 

Your Future Role

 

2,100 colleagues from 46 countries, including 800 engineers, shape in Hennigsdorf (close to Berlin) the future of rail mobility. The locally developed, manufactured, and maintained product range includes high-speed, regional, and local trains, subways, as well as trams and light rail vehicles. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to Test Team Leader and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

 

We’ll look for you to :

 

  • Prepare the tests for the execution phase on the vehicle and/or in the test laboratory (e.g. preparation of test procedures)

  • Participate in the design and development of the tools necessary for performing the tests

  • Implement, verify (functional), and ensure compliance (calibration) of the measuring equipment so it will be ready at the time of the test.

  • Prepare the equipment for testing and validate that the applied configuration and prerequisite testing allows for the testing to proceed

  • Respect the EHS rules, notably by implementing the LockOutTagOut instruction

  • Supervise and/or execute test activities, analyze test results "live," and decide whether the test needs to be redone

  • Analyze test result data and write static and dynamic test reports

  • Functional test execution capability on some of the following domains: train wide functions, operational functions, TCMS software functions, TCMS electrical functions, Traction, Braking, Auxiliary supply and energy management, Doors, PACIS, Signalling.

  • Experience in TCMS development and/or validation.

  • Experience in Functional Safety testing.

  • Knowledge of electrical vs software design on train. Routine in dealing with wiring diagrams.

  • Good communication skills to interact with interfaces and stakeholders.

  • Quality driven working style.

  • Fluent in English and German (French beneficial).

  • System knowledge of hardware and software components in rail vehicles is an advantage.

  • Willingness to travel frequently.
