Your Future Role

2,100 colleagues from 46 countries, including 800 engineers, shape in Hennigsdorf the future of rail mobility. The locally developed, manufactured, and maintained product range includes high-speed, regional, and local trains, subways, as well as trams and light rail vehicles. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll have the chance to work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team and to contribute to a low-carbon future.

 

We’ll look for you to:

  • Defining and implementing the functional, performance, transverse and train level requirements of the dedicated subsystem.
  • Integrating the subsystem into the train (mechanically and electrically).
  • Defining the Interface (mechanical and electrical) for the dedicated subsystem.
  • Verifying of the subsystem (focus on train level) including design reviews.
  • Change and configuration management process for the subsystem on train level.
  • Control of changes after design changes including impact analysis.
  • Planning and follow up of all activities linked to the subsystem.
  • Support sourcing, suppliers, PUs, S&A Engineers, Interior engineers, RAMS engineers, and validation engineers.
  • Providing inputs to engineering team, sourcing, suppliers or PUs.

  • Minimum BA degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Having 2-3 years of relevant work experience as a System Engineer in the railway, aerospace or automotive industries will help you perform well in this job.
  • System Engineering Mindset and Good Business Acumen are very important to this role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to lead a meeting internally and with suppliers, writing and synthesis ability, curiosity, and constructive spirit.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Very good technical understanding of complex systems interacting in a network.
  • Fluent in English, German is a nice-to-have.
