Your Future Role

2,100 colleagues from 46 countries, including 800 engineers, shape in Hennigsdorf the future of rail mobility. The locally developed, manufactured, and maintained product range includes high-speed, regional, and local trains, subways, as well as trams and light rail vehicles. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll report to Samer Ammari and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

 

The purpose of this role is to assure the economic and financial management of the projects, following the applicable company procedures & rules and ensuring that risks and opportunities are followed in order to meet the project financial targets.

 

We’ll look for you to:

  • Control the project results through close involvement with the Project Manager and ensure full use of the risk and opportunities management tool.
  • Ensure customer invoicing is done as soon as possible and play an active role in achieving payment from customer in the due time.
  • Specifically follow-up the implementation of cash improvement actions and promote the cash culture in the project.
  • Respect the Alstom Transport Project processes/guidelines and tools.
  • Challenge the CTC to maximize the project margin.
  • Control of the project budget for plausibility and timely detection of crucial developments as well as information and implementation of actions with Work Package Owner & Controller.
  • Participate in the Project Steering Committee, risk analysis meetings and all decision-making concerning financial or contractual aspects of the project.
  • Review the Contract Database data from sites and ensure compliance with last review data.
  • Ensure the necessary conditions for the achievement of the Project’s financial targets.
  • Be the economic and financial advisor to the Project Manager.
  • Prepare, along with the PM, the periodic Project Reviews, including the Project Cost Monitoring and provide all the relevant financial analysis.
  • Respond for cost centers and site controlling.

  • Studies in Business Administration, Accounting, Managerial accounting or similar.
  • Several years of professional experience in Project Controlling.
  • General technical understanding of financial principles.
  • Knowledge of cost carrier accounting, general accounting, cost type, delivery- and payment-conditions
  • Experience with SAP, MS-office, with EXCEL.
  • Languages required is English. German will be an additional important asset.
  • Ability to work and think independently and analytically.
  • Good communication skills, self-assured manners & good capacity to perform under pressure.
  • Adaptive and team-oriented.
