We are currently looking to recruit a Certification & Authorization Manager in Hennigsdorf, Germany.
The Certification & Authorization Manager performs the certification and authorization processes and activities along the whole lifecycle of products and subsystems. Essential part of this work is the Coordination and lead of the Authorization process for projects or vehicle platforms during all project phases until end of warranty.
In detail following main activities:
- Management of Authorization activities to achieve Vehicle Type Authorization and/or Authorization for Placing on the Market (VAPOM)
- Management of activities to assure customer acceptance of the vehicles in alignment with PM and PdM
- Provision of Authorization expertise within AT organisation
- Stakeholder Management for all instances and bodies involved within the Authorization process
- Responsibility for budget, schedule and documentation of Authorization projects
- Member of project core team, active contribution to deliverables for other functions/members including Risk & Opportunity Management and problem solving strategies
- Member of product core team, development of authorization strategy as input to product roadmaps
- Lead of an Authorization project team, consisting of (Sub-) Project Leads and Engineers
- Lead Domain Certification & Authorization for several projects
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform activities during the realization, authorization, operation, and field support of the products/subsystems. Lead the Certification & Authorization activities.
- Interface with and supports internal and external stakeholders (engineering, customers, assessors, bodies, authorities etc.) for various tasks during the product/system lifecycle.
- Provide implementation feedback and improvement suggestions for Certification & Authorization Management System.
- Support and/or supervise and/or develop "Certification & Authorization Engineers".
- Work on complex assignments, high risk matters and projects, provide plans, cost and schedule estimates on complicated engineering programs.
- Provides technical expertise in support of colleagues or departments with less experience in the field of Certification & Authorization.
- Communicate, support to other engineering functions, assessors and stakeholders.
- Coordination and direction of staff (can be subordinate) working on subjects in the own domain(s) of responsibility.
- Ensure the application of Certification & Authorization framework in the own domain(s) of responsibility.
- Ensure that relevant peer reviews for Certification & Authorization Deliverables are being performed.
- Development, maintenance and operation of a detailed plans and budget.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A university degree (B.Sc., M.Sc. or equivalent), or an equivalent working experience.
- 5-10 years of working experience postgraduate.
- Proven record of relevant Certification & Authorization experience.
- 3-5 years of working experience in project assignments.
- Knowledge and experience in the application of authorization file documentation etc.
- Experience in the application of relevant tools (e.g. OSS, ERADIS, etc.) is of benefit.
- Knowledge and experience in the interpretation and application of relevant standards, laws, regulation: EU directives, TSI Specifications, NNTVs, EU standards, national standards etc.
- Background knowledge in any engineering area may be beneficial.
- Fluent in English, German is a plus.
