Your Future Role
2,100 colleagues from 46 countries, including 800 engineers, shape in Hennigsdorf the future of rail mobility. The locally developed, manufactured, and maintained product range includes high-speed, regional, and local trains, subways, as well as trams and light rail vehicles. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to the Train System Domain Leader and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
We’ll look for you to :
- Be the technical representative in front of customer and external stakeholders from Notice-To-Proceed through to end of warranty
- Perform the transverse requirement allocations to the various subsystems in close collaboration with the relevant specialists,
- Perform requirement development, coming from reference and applicable documents from Metiers, Standards, Certification, Safety, Platform and Customer
- Define the Train System architecture, operational modes and functionalities taking as input the external/internal requirements
- Perform train system FMECA in coordination with RAMS team
- Ensure consistency and compatibility between all the sub-systems specifications,
- Write system specification and architecture description in collaboration with the sub-system/supplier/integration teams according to train level architecture.
- Fill the attributes of a “connector” to question the train sub-system standardisation catalog.
- Write the Technical Purchasing Specification (TPS0 - Short Tender Specification) when needed.
- Write the TPS1 for supplier consultation and manages technical feedback (Clause by Clause) until design has been frozen
- Drive technical relationships with suppliers with close management of QCD commitments (CbC), risks & validation (including Design Reviews with suppliers)
- Support train system project performance manager (TPM) to define applicable train configuration
- Ensure coordination between Train Systems/Supplier/Metier on interfaces, performances, technical issues resolution during detailed design phase.
- Participate to technical meetings with customer in order to provide support.
- Define and perform Train verification strategy in close collaboration with all Engineering metiers, Certification & Validation teams, Train Sub-Systems Team and Participating Units.
- Write the train level test specifications
- Perform reporting at project level (to TPM, via KPI) and metier level (via weekly reports)
- Support TPM for implementation and update of Engineering risks mitigation plan, change order process and QCD optimisation
- Provide Return of experience to be implemented in Reference Solutions.

- Master’s degree, preferably in mechanical and around Brakes world,
- Relevant experience on Brakes
