Could you be the full-time Onboard Site Supervisor we’re looking for in Malmö?

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Xavier Carayon (NOR Installation Manager), and work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated teammates.

The Onboard X31/X61 project consists of more than 230 trains concerned with the installation of the signalling system ETCS in Sweden. The installation activity will be performed in the workshops of Malmo (Subcontractor workshop) for X31 and Helsingborg (Raus) for X61.

 

We'll look to you for:

  • Ensure strict respect of EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) rules in the workshop for Alstom and its supplier (Alstom Zero Deviation Policy).
  • Supervise and validate execution for one or several workshops, including partners and subcontractors, within the same geographically area.
  • Ensure quality and time delivery of installation and commissioning work and reports.
  • Ensure the interface between the execution team (install and commissioning, technical teams) and the rest of the project (i.e. engineering and logistic).
  • Interface the customer.
  • Organize and manage teams consisting of installation subcontractors and commissioning staff.

 

You will report and monitor the activity and costs to the Project Field Operation Manager (PrFOM) and implement strict cost control of installation and commissioning.

Furthermore, you are responsible for the workshop quality, cost and delivery commitments. Also, your task is to manage the return of experience which includes lifting feedback from the field to other Alstom project managers.

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with a significant background experience in team management as well as material management
  • Resources management
  • Planning skills
  • Relevant work experience in the Railway industry is preferred
  • Good language skills in English and it is an asset to speak Swedish
