POSITION OVERVIEW

We are recruiting for a multi-skilled engineer to support the existing Products group. The Product Support Engineer will assist in the creation, update and management of Product drawings and parts on a regular basis in liaison with the Product Design Authorities. The role will also require maintenance of engineering configurations and document control in line with Alstom global requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Creation and amendment of Product assy. drawings, detail drawings, wiring schedules etc. (Microstation)
  • Creation and amendment of Mod. Instructions, Conversion Instructions and Salvage Schemes
  • Creation and amendment of Product Datasheets
  • Creation and amendment of parts lists, engineering drawings and materials in Enovia PLM
  • Engineering Change Management (ECM) in Enovia PLM and SAP
  • Liaison and Review of Product Issues with Supply Chain
  • Liaison with Product design authorities
  • Control of Product Specifications (MES, Process & Purchasing)
  • Control Registers for Drawing Nos, DCRs, Problem Reports, Software and Archiving
  • Preparation of new/amended documentation packages for suppliers
  • Managing Quality documentation related to the Product Sustaining activity

 

Skills

          Essential

  • Competent draughtsperson
  • Extensive experience of drawing version control and management
  • CAD (MicroStation) proficiency
  • SAP experience

 

          Desirable

  • Engineering H.N.C. / degree
  • Knowledge of Engineering Data Management / SAP ERP
  • CAD (Solidworks) proficiency
