Alstom is the world leader in the supply of integrated urban mobility systems. Alstom Vietnam, as leader of a consortium with Colas Rail and Thales, is working on a contract with Hanoi Metropolitan Railway Management Board (MRB) to supply a metro system for Hanoi metro line 3. This is the first integrated metro system contract for Alstom in Vietnam.

Alstom Vietnam is looking for Train Driver based in Hanoi. You will be welcomed if you are keen to learn in urban metro, rolling stock & signalling system and driving operation as a new field in Vietnam market. You will report hierarchically to Temporary Operation Manager.

 

What are my responsibilities?

  • Driving and control of the train
  • Develop driving reports
  • Coupling between two train units or one train unit and one Locomotive
  • Implementation and respect of the temporary operation procedures
  • Execute the requests of the sub-systems T&C managers, OCC Operators and train movement controllers, and ensure that those requests are compatible with the temporary operation procedures
  • Refuse the requests from the sub-systems T&C Managers, OCC Operators and train movement controllers in case they are not compatible with the Temporary Operation Procedures.

 

What do I need to qualify for this job?

 

  • Experience from railway/transportation engineering (preferred, but not a must)
  • Has sense to safety rules and regulation in construction and engineering operation sites/depots
  • Able to read, understand and follow technical procedures
  • Adequate communication skills in collaborative and responsible attitude
  • Basic English communication for speaking, reading, writing to work with international team
  • Welcome if you are willing to learn about railway/transportation sector in greenfield market
