Your Future Role
The need for mass transit systems with expanded capacity is steadily increasing, especially in metropolitan regions such as Hamburg. Our product line Digital & Integrated Systems (D&IS) answers worldwide mobility challenges for passengers and freight transportation by leading the way in digitalization and communications-based train control (CBTC) technology.
We’ll look for you to:
Accountable to reach QCD commitments for N&T sub-system Design and to manage trade-offs between work packages while seeking for QCD performance in the frame of N&T sub-system in accordance with contractual requirements (e.g. Make/Buy proposals, Re-Design to improve variable costs)
Elaborate N&T sub-system Design specifications (Preliminary Design & Detailed Design) in line with N&T Engineering rules and relying on best practices inherited from previous projects (cross reviews with installation teams, cybersecurity teams, power experts…)
Elaborate N&T sub-system BoQ and support installation manager in the scope of N&T sub-system
Maintain close follow-up on technical gaps implementation
Check that external interfaces are consistent with N&T sub-system
Supervise and participate in the System deliveries (requirements, System documentation, Performance)
Support the functional validation phase of the sub-system
Responsible to manage the iteration of the Sub-System configuration all along project life cycle till end of warranty period,
Actively support installation and commissioning teams in their respective Metier activities, in the frame of N&T sub-system (golden samples, technical investigations, return of experience…)
Responsible to manage the iteration of the installation studies specific to N&T sub-system
Ensure that all N&T Design follows Quality processes, including application of Adapt and Design N&T Processes, Methods and Guidelines
Case studies and technical explanation for customer queries on Radio/N&T related subjects
Support the PrEM in the monthly review cycle, highlighting main variances against the Project Engineering QCD commitment, initiating corrective actions and immediately informing the PrEM and RC Project Engineering N&T Domain Department Head
Provide inputs to PrEM to update the RAMP and SAMP of the Project in the frame of N&T sub-system Design scope
Actively work together with other sub-system Design Leaders and Project Architect in the same PBS line (and across the whole Project as required) to ensure the overall Project Performance.
If the N&T sub-system scope changes (due to either internal or external changes), support PrEM in Project Engineering QCD commitment variations with the Project Controller.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering discipline or any other relevant field (Mathematics and/or Physics or IT)
Experience of radio deployments in industrial environment
Experience of management in a design telco/IT project
Experience of technical coordination
Strong knowledge and experience on Data Communication techniques (wired and/or wireless)
Experience on technical team management
Experience on application engineering is an add-on
Signalling and system architecture is an add-on
Team management, process and results oriented
