Could you be the full-time Project Site Operations Manager (f/m/d) in Hamburg we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in urban rail signalling infrastructure to a cutting-edge project. You’ll work alongside dynamic, collaborative, and solution-oriented teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in delivering the DT6/U5 fully automated metro project in Hamburg, ensuring the successful execution of signalling field works in a dense urban environment. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (project managers, subcontractors, and local authorities), manage risks and constraints, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of coordinating multiple specialised subcontractors and ensuring compliance with EHS and railway standards, but also act as the main on-site representative for the customer and stakeholders.

We’ll look for you to:

•    Plan, organise and lead all Mainline and Urban (M&U) signalling trackside site operations
•    Ensure the installation, field integration, and commissioning readiness of complete railway systems
•    Maintain accountability for quality, cost, delivery, and performance (QCDP) at the project level
•    Build strong working relationships with the customer and subcontractors
•    Enforce compliance with EHS policies, local regulations, and railway professional standards
•    Drive continuous improvement in methods and productivity

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

•    Degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field
•    Strong experience in urban rail or railway infrastructure site management
•    Proven leadership on complex, constrained construction sites
•    Knowledge of signalling, systems, or railway installation works
•    Familiarity with EHS and railway safety regulations
•    Excellent people management and negotiation skills
•    High autonomy and decision-making capability
•    Calm and resilient under pressure, with a solution-oriented mindset

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

•    Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
•    Work with new security standards for rail signalling
•    Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues
•    Contribute to innovative projects like the DT6/U5 fully automated metro
•    Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment
•    Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
•    Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning
•    Progress towards leadership roles or other exciting career paths
•    Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
