Purpose of the Job

  • The Risk Manager is responsible for the activities related to Risk Management in the TMT Green Line Projectorganisation throughout the execution of the project.
  • The Risk Manager shall be responsible for the overall management, control, administration and supervision ofall risk-related works, services, tasks, activities and actions required to be performed or implemented by or on behalfof the Project Company under and pursuant to the Project Agreement between the TMT Consortium and the CustomerNTA.

 

Key Accountabilities and Authorities:

  • Co-ordinate and manage all Project Risk Management activities.
  • Interface with Partners, SPC and Customer on all matters related to Risk Management.
  • Ensure sound evaluation and management of Project contingencies and savings.
  • Ensure strict confi dentiality between various levels of the company and project organizations at Alstom, EPC, SPC and Customer level. 

 

Risk Management Policy and Procedures:

  • Implement an appropriate Project Risk Management Plan according to the Project Agreement requirements and tothe Alstom processes throughout the execution of the project.
  • Ensure that Project members are trained at an appropriate level in the discipline of Risk.
  • Promote risk awareness in the Project team, and participating entities.

 

Risk Identification and Assessment:

  • Act as a support to Project Team for the identifi cation and the assessment of risks, and the Implementation andfollow-up of mitigation actions.
  • Act as leader and facilitator on risk identifi cation ‘brainstorming’ sessions, workshops and meetings.
  • Ensure that the risks of the Project are managed in an effi cient and pro-active manner.
  • Propose risk owners within the Project for approval by the Project Manager.
  • Evaluate each identifi ed risk in collaboration with the risk owners using the Project Risk Matrix and appropriateprocedures.

 

Risk Mitigation and Monitoring:

  • Act as a support to risk owners for the defi nition, implementation and the follow-up of mitigation actions.
  • Monitor progress on risks and risk mitigation actions.
  • Ensure that the approved risk mitigation actions are integrated into the main Project schedule and budget, by linkingwith the project schedule and cost control team.
  • Ensure risks are maintained and up to date on the Customer’s Risk Management Information System (RMIS) on amonthly basis

 

Risk Reporting:

  • Create and maintain consolidated Project Risk Registers for Alstom and EPC levels.
  • Produce regular Risk Assessment Reports, including Risk sections for the Project Monthly Progress Report.
  • Produce ad hoc Risk Reports as and when required as per the needs of the project.

 

Project Controls:

  • Support the project teams mainly the PMs to prepare gate reviews & follow up related action plans relating to Risks,
  • Opportunities, Savings and Contingency management
  • Ensure REX process within the project
  • Manage Internal & External risk management audits

 

Educational Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Advanced academic qualifications in Engineering / Business Management / Project Management / Construction Management
  • Fluent in English

 

Expeirence

Mandatory:

  • At least 10 years working experience in the field of construction management
  • At least 3 years working experience in risk management on infrastructure construction projects
  • Experience in the development, deployment and implementation of a Risk Management Information System for both
  • qualitative and quantitative risk analysis e.g. ARM, @Risk, Primavera or similar
  • Team player with the capacity to lead a group on risk activities and facilitate risk workshops and meetings for groups of all sizes
  • Ability to engage and influence a wide variety of Project / Program resources – including but not limited to, Engineers,
  • Project Controls Professionals, Project Managers, Client Leaders and External Stakeholders
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
