Consortium (EPC) Configuration and Requirement Manager

Purpose of the role

On the Haifa-Nazareth LRT Project, the mission of the EPC Configuration and Requirement Manager is to manage:

  • Definition and deployment of the configuration management plan and process (Documentation, Software and Hardware),
  • Design change management, including follow up of changes (initiated by the Client or any player of the consortium) from,
  • Coordination of the configuration with the different delivery teams (Railway Systems and Civil Works),
  • Definition and deployment of the requirement management plan and process,
  • Coordination of the collection of the evidence of the compliance of the technical requirements on the Project,
  • Support the delivery teams Design Reviews for the Requirement and Configuration matters.

in accordance with the Client’s requirements and the consortiums’ strategy. Coordinate with the planning team and the commercial team to ensure that the transmittals of input data from the Client is controlled in accordance with the administration of the contract.

 

Organisational Reporting

The Configuration and Requirement Manager is part of the HN LRT EPC team. The Configuration and Requirement Manager reports to the EPC Design Manager.

 

Network & Links

The EPC Director, EPC Technical team (BIM Manager, Interface Manager, Integration-T&C Manager, Information Security Manager), the delivery teams Engineering and Design Managers as well as EPC, RSY and CJV Project Managers and client.

 

Measurement

For the Railway Systems segment:

  • Delivery of Plans and reports (as appropriate to the Configuration and Requirement management scopes),
  • Understanding of the system engineering process (including assurance),
  • Understanding of configuration management,
  • Understanding of requirement management,
  • Propositions made to improve the management of the above

Responsibilities

  • To manage follow up of design changes and track their progressing,
  • To manage follow up of configuration item list,
  • To manage the Project Configuration Baselines,
  • To manage and coordinate requirements compliance for the Project,
  • To deliver regular progress reports (configuration and requirements) to the Chief Engineering Design Manager and the Client,
  • To disseminate information to the team and project involved entities,
  • To maintain and update the Project Configuration Management Plan with the Chief Engineering Design Manager (and VTA Manager as required),
  • To maintain and update the Project Requirement Management Plan with the Chief Engineering Design Manager
  • To issue all configuration and requirements reports required to support the different Systems Gate reviews,
  • To comply with the rules defined in the Configuration Management Plan defined for the Project, and make sure those rules are understood and respected by all Project entities,
  • To suggest improvements for their activity organisation (process, data base),
  • To organise and chair Configuration Control Board meetings, as required, in which configuration changes) evolutions and/or modifications are decided.

Educational Requirements

  • A degree preferably within an engineering discipline and equivalent experience,
  • Familiarity with EN ISO 10007: Quality Management Systems – Guidelines for Configuration Management.

Experience

2 years’ experience on managing configuration on a Project, preferably on Rail transit systems Projects
