Consortium (EPC) Configuration and Requirement Engineer
Purpose of the role
On the Haifa-Nazareth LRT Project, the mission of the Configuration Engineer is to manage,
- Review the content of the technical transmittals from the Client [Design from Others, Design configuration items] and identify the part of the configuration that is affected,
- Follow along with the Configuration and Requirement manager the change impact assessment with all Railway subsystems design teams,
- Follow along with the Configuration and Requirement manager requirement processes,
- Support Configuration and Requirement manager
- Follow deployment of the requirement management plan and process,
- Coordination of the collection of the evidence of the compliance of the technical requirements on the Project,
- Support the delivery teams Gate Reviews for the Requirement and Configuration matters.
in accordance with the Client’s requirements and the consortiums’ strategy. Coordinate with the planning team and the commercial team to ensure that the transmittals of input data from the Client is controlled in accordance with the administration of the contract.
Organisational Reporting
The Configuration and Requirement Engineer is part of the HN EPC team. The Rail Systems Configuration Engineer reports to the Configuration and Requirement Manager.
Network & Links
The EPC Director, EPC Technical team (BIM Manager, Interface Manager, Integration-T&C Manager, Information Security Manager), the delivery teams Engineering and Design Managers as well as EPC, RSY and CJV Project Managers and client..
Measurement
- Technical assessment of the design data transmitted by the Client,
- Understanding of the technical content of these transmittals,
- Maintaining clear Client’s design configuration trackers at all time,
- Reporting on the identified impact,
- Propositions made to improve the management of the above.
Responsibilities
For Rail Systems segment’s use:
- To manage assessment and allocation of drawing batches transmitted by the Client,
- To manage associated tracker,
- To regularly report on the evolution of the transmittals,
- To explain the content of each transmittal to the technical team, the planning team and the commercial team,
- To create and validate any tool that supports the above.
Educational Requirements
- A degree preferably within an engineering discipline and equivalent experience,
- Good knowledge of Excel and macros
