System Engineer Passenger Information Systems/CCTV (m/f/d) based at our site in Hennigsdorf, Germany.

 

 

The Systems Engineer applies the principles of system engineering to the sub system architecture, interfaces and design and to the selection of major components. The candidate performs design assignments requiring initiative, resourcefulness and design experience and provides advice and guidance to other engineers or designers.

 

Accountable for:

  • Delivering the subsystem documentation (Requirement Specification and Architecture Description RSAD, Technical Purchase Specification TPS, Interface Control Document ICD).

 

Responsible for:

  • Defining and implementing the functional, performance, transverse and train level requirements of the dedicated subsystem.

  • Integrating the subsystem into the train (mechanically and electrically)

  • Defining the Interface (mechanical and electrical) for the dedicated subsystem.

  • Verifying of the subsystem (focus on train level) including design reviews.

  • Change and configuration management process for the subsystem on train level.

  • Control of changes after design changes including impact analysis.

  • Planning and follow up of all activities linked to the subsystem.

  • Support sourcing, suppliers, PUs, S&A Engineers, Interior engineers, RAMS engineers, and validation engineers.

  • Providing inputs to engineering team, sourcing, suppliers or PUs

 

Qualifications:

  • Sc degree, MA or PhD graduate

  • Typically, minimum 4 years of relevant work experience with a BSc degree, 2 years relevant work experience with Master’s degree or PhD graduate.

  • System Engineering Mindset

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to lead a meeting internally and with suppliers, writing and synthesis ability, curiosity, and constructive spirit

  • Good communications skills

  • Very good technical understanding of complex systems interacting in a network
