PURPOSE:

 

The Procurement Continuous Improvement and Performance Manager will lead the effort to achieve full process integration and drive the efficiency and performance of the organization.  This role will be based in one of our main sites (Pittsburgh, Grain Valley, Rochester, Montreal, Melbourne) and includes:

  • Referee for Procurement Processes & Tools compliance and transformation deployment to the Procurement team
  • Lead the Performance management and ensure accurate KPIs and appropriate action plans
  • Provide initiatives & simplifications to enhance processes improving the Procurement efficiency
  • Lead internal Alstom Procurement audit preparations to ensure appropriate level of maturity 
  • Serve as SAP Key User for the Procurement function

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Transformation & E.fficiency management role for procurement process optimization:

  • Has accountability for procurement process convergence, deployment, maturity, and development in line with APSYS, (Alstom Performance SYStem). Is instrumental is establishing cross-functional collaboration.
  • Has accountability to access and identify what changes must be made and what needs to be done to drive them at every level, from operations up to senior management.
  • Has the accountability of Business Process Owner to drive changes to process and enforce compliance and consistency with relentless and effective communication.
  • Accountable in ensuring the Procurement community is informed, trained, and respects all process and tools usage.
  • Accountable to follow procurement performance through routine performance dashboard reviews supporting procurement leadership team. Collection, analysis, preparation, and maintenance of supporting data.

 

Coordination between all Transformation & Efficiency efforts, Global & Regional, and the procurement community:

  • Monitoring deployment, adherence and performance in processes and tools
  • Linking all pillars; people, process, tools, and performance in coordinated effort of efficiency.
  • Follow performance data to identify areas of opportunity and prepare necessary communication and cascade.

 

Ensuring the procurement functions adherence with its processes:

  • Animates assessment, audits, and related follow ups and/or action plans
  • APSYS (Alstom Performance SYStem)
  • ICQ (Internal Controls)
  • IRIS (International Railway Industry Standard)

 

REQUIRED PROFILE:

 

Education:

  • BSc/MSc in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field

 

Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of Procurement processes: preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Experience using business management software and tools, including SAP, SAP Ariba, and/or Qlik Sense data analytics tool.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Business process management, a plus
  • SharePoint Development: Building and Managing Large Document Libraries, a plus
  • Process Mapping, a plus
  • LSS, DMAIC, a plus

  • Communication: Capacity to transmit, coach and train others
  • Influential: sell changes to key stakeholders and communicate the importance at the operational level as well.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to understand why and how it will impact the business.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
  • Microsoft Azure/ Azure DevOps, Microsoft Power BI desired
