Could you be the full-time Software Designer in Gothenburg we’re looking for?

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your software engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field, and work alongside passionate, motivated, and dedicated teammates.

You'll positively impact rail control solutions and onboard software systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, being responsible for the design, development and maintenance of various GUI-based tools developed in Java and C++ and much more.

You’ll specifically offer support to your colleagues with Control Build design and integration activities.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Perform the software components detailed design & coding
  • Design, implement and integrate new software functionality
  • Writing and maintaining software documentation and reports
  • Evaluating the quality of requirements, architectures, designs, code, and tests
  • Maintaining focus on safety, robustness, and availability.

    • Degree in software development, embedded systems, or related field
    • Strong experience in embedded software development is required
    • Understanding of Java, C++, Python, Bash scripting, Web development (HTML, JQuery, Javascript)
  • Tools: Git, Gradle, VirtualBox
  • System: Proficient with Linux-like systems, Virtual machines, Networking
  • Other: Experience in GUI tools development
    • Experience in requirements-driven and agile software developments, as well as traceability methods
    • Familiarity with object-oriented design paradigms, software modelling and software test methodologies
    • Being excited to explore new methods, technologies and tools
    • Eagerness to shape our onboard software systems
    • Ambition and accountability.
