Your future role
We have an exciting opportunity available to join our team responsible for the maintenance of the Gold Coast Light Rail fleet, as the Project Quality and Safety Manager. Based at our maintenance facility in Southport, you will primarily be responsible for representing Quality within the project team and striving for customer satisfaction by managing all quality and product safety activities.
We’ll look to you for:
- Providing Quality governance across the operation by maintaining and continuously improving the Project Quality Management Plan.
- Representing Alstom in customer meetings for Quality related topics.
- Conducting root-cause analysis and facilitating problem solving (8D, QRQC, REX).
- Owning the Supplier Parts List and managing supplier quality.
- Managing the NCR process, defect management and driving through to closure.
- Providing support for periodic progress reporting through quality indicators and identify improvement opportunities.
- Supporting, conducting and participating in internal/ external audits.
- Conducting quality inspections and following through via relevant processes with associated stakeholders.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate within a small team.
- An autonomous, self starter who will thrive within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Significant experience within a similar role, leading Quality for a site/operation.
- Project Management and maintenance operations experience will be highly regarded.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic or similar).
