As a VIE based on the train commissioning depot you will participate in the validation phase of XXX project to ensure successful revenue service & interact with local operational team. You will be incorporated into the validation team for the onboard electronic systems.
You will have to feed-back the operability designers about safe and reliable operation of the rolling stock and its operability context (like environmental conditions, infrastructure & users).
As an international team a very good level of English (written and spoken) is requested.
Responsibilities
- Implement the development practices and rules as defined in the Train Control support plans (SyMDP, SyQP, SCMP, SyVP).
- Train local engineering about software loading (you’ll be trained in Alstom Villeurbanne / VPF prior the VIE)
- Supports all validation activities for embedded electronics system / Interfaces with all other sub-systems
- Ensure the quality management of these activities (configuration management of input document, and of hardware and software installed on site, anomaly management in close relation with factory, test coverage to ensure no tests forgotten)
- Ensure that all tests are performed with calibrated tests tools
- Ensure that safety conditions are always met for tests to be carried out and permanently brief his team on the importance of this matter.
- Prepare and ensure the preparation of all test’s procedures.
- Troubleshoot technical issues during Testing & Commissionning phase
- Ensure local support to factory for debugging and fine-tuning activities
- Organize relevant tests platforms (simulators, measurement tools)
- Provide support for Supplier interface test or TC&IS verification tests on PC or TCMS Test Bench
- Provide support during train integration & validation
- Contribute to the return of experiences on his/her domain (Software, Schematic, Apparatus)
As a plus :
- Verify the operability analysis process outcomes with all necessary verification
- Assist in defining human interfaces for all involved users (like driver’s desk, picture model, tooling)
- Assist System Engineers in allocating derived requirements including non-functional ones to subsystems
- Provide Return of Experience (RoE) to be implemented in standard solutions to improve the related Q, C & TD
- Exchange with operability related community to grow operability knowledge, either her/his own one or from colleagues
- Support on operability related questions, prepare and give local trainings when appropriate
- To do the link between train (in Germany) and Engineering (In France, India, Germany, Italy)
Qualification : Junior Engineer.
- Knowledge of network topologies and interfaces for Serial, Ethernet, MVB and other industrial communication network.
- Electrical Investigation to check if train witing is consistent with schematics
- Software investigation to find the issue or variable to force
- You must have a solid level in English (spoken and written), german language will be a plus.
