Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your leadership and technical expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and driven teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the maintenance, servicing, and renovation of rolling stock and infrastructure meet customer requirements and operational standards. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Maintenance Managers, Production Managers, and Industrial Teams), lead and prioritize workloads, and coordinate safe and efficient work environments, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of team management and performance monitoring, but also drive continuous improvement and team development initiatives.
We’ll look to you for:

Leading all aspects of the team to meet maintenance and servicing demands.

Delivering Start-of-Shift and End-of-Shift briefings to team members.

Ensuring compliance with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and reporting unsafe acts or deviations.

Providing real-time updates on work progress and ensuring all documentation meets required standards.

Promoting team communication through regular discussions and feedback sessions.

Driving continuous improvement by identifying process changes and engaging with APSYS and Industrial Teams.

Conducting skills reviews and identifying training needs for team members.

Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualifications (e.g., Higher National Certificate/Ordinary National Certificate/City & Guilds).

In-depth understanding of rail depot and rail industry operations.

Proven experience in fleet maintenance, renovation, or operations roles.

Knowledge of Metro Rail Rules and Regulations (MRGR) and local safety procedures.

Strong team leadership and communication skills.

Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying smarter ways of working.

Self-motivation with the ability to work independently and meet stringent timelines.
