Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your leadership and maintenance expertise in a dynamic and innovative field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and results-driven teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of rolling stock maintenance, servicing, and renovation activities. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including Maintenance Managers, team members, and industrial teams, while also engaging with customer representatives and subcontractors to meet operational demands and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of team management and deployment to meet customer requirements, but also ensure safety, performance, and continuous improvement across the depot.
We’ll look to you for:

Leading and coordinating maintenance and servicing activities to meet customer requirements.

Delivering Start of Shift Briefings (SOSB) and End of Shift Briefings (EOSB).

Ensuring safety standards and compliance with site procedures.

Providing real-time updates on work progress and addressing deviations.

Conducting regular communication and feedback sessions with team members.

Driving continuous improvement and implementing smarter ways of working.

Ensuring team development through skills assessments and training.

Maintaining 5S standards and fostering a culture of excellence.

Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent with associated technical qualifications (e.g., HNC/ONC/City & Guilds).

In-depth understanding of rail depot and rail industry operations.

Proven experience in fleet maintenance, operations, or renovation.

Ability to lead and inspire a team effectively.

Knowledge of Metro Rail Rules and Regulations (MRGR) and local safety procedures.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Self-motivated and able to work under stringent timelines.
