Main mission

Manage, perform and ensure the activities related to safety assurance are applied in development programs under direct responsibility (for safety-related products and/or systems developed in Trainborne ADM/RC domains)

 

Role responsibilities

  • Coordinate all the Safety Assurance activities on the system or product. Perform Safety analysis, manage Hazard Log, review Design, RAM and Testing activities from a Safety perspective             
  • Build the Safety Case                                                                                                        
  • Apply the safety assurance methodologies (risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, verification and validation) defined for the system or product                                                                 
  • Defend Safety Case argumentations in front of independent safety assessors; define and follow-up action plans to close the findings of the assessor                
  • Manage the Safety Assurance Engineers allocated to system or product

 

Desired Skills & Experience (profile)

  • Educational Requirements : University Degree level in Electronics/Telecommunications/Software Engineering
  • Experience : Working experience in safety assurance for SIL4 products (4 year) OR working experience in safety assurance for SIL4 products (2 year) & working experience in SIL4 products design (2 years)
  • Required Knowledge & Technical Competencies
    • Able to understand safety principles of both composite and reactive safety architectures
    • Able to apply CENELEC/IEC Standards for Functional Safety (EN5012x, IEC61508)
    • Able to understand HW electrical schemes with both discrete and integrated components
    • Able to read SW Source Code (main programming languages, e.g. C/C++/C#, Python, ADA) and understand SW safety architecture and design principles
    • Able to write and speak English

    • Ability to execute and coordinate analyses, design reviews and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles, adhering to business standards & procedures in accordance with product / program requirements
    • Be a detail-oriented individual, thoughtful and deliberate in your approach to conducting research and analyses
    • Possess a strong work ethic and be task focused. Must be willing to “do what it takes” to get the job done within the allotted timeframe while maintaining the highest levels of quality in the products produced
