JOB TITLE: Industrial Quality Engineer

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Define and deploy the manufacturing Quality Control Plans (QCP) in order to improve quality and optimize associated cost within reduction of Defects per Units (external demerit at 0 for Alstom Customer and the Zero-Defect Program)

REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Site Industrial Quality Manager


MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

Accountability & Authorities
•    Participate in Process FMEA definition.
•    Manage Quality Control Plans with REX from previous projects execution.
•    Release and update Self Inspection and Final Inspection checklists.
•    Participate in the FMR (First Mounting Review) to validate first product assembly before serial production.
•    Support Manufacturing shopfloors (mechanical & electronic) in daily activities (attend manufacturing meetings, perform training to operators,…).
•    Manage internal defects and NCs to ensure consistent accurate and on-time completion and secure production lines and customer deliveries.
•    Support Projects in Customer NCs management.
•    Collect and monitor Cost of Non-Quality (CoNQ).
•    Foster the Zero Defect program/culture in the factory.
•    Perform Line Quality Animation with cross function team.
•    Perform WSA (workstation audit) according to defined plan.
•    Support Projects in Customer’s FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and Inspections
•    Monitor Industrial Quality KPIs.
•    Contribute to Site Quality Continuous Improvement Program.

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE
•    Engineering master degree (mechanical, electromechanical, electrical, …)
•    > 3 years experiences in Industrial environment (lean context).
•    Experience in managing Quality tools and problem-solving tools.
•    Industrial Quality processes knowledge.
•    Green Belt Lean Six Sigma certification (preferred).

 

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
•    Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schemes.
•    Knowledge on manufacturing special/critical processes (crimping, tightening torque,...)
•    Knowledge of Railway Operations and Signaling principles (preferred)
•    Good English Proficiency (both spoken and written), B2 minimum.
•    Goal-oriented, flexible, reliable, dynamic, resolute.
•    Analytical approach and logical mindset.

•    Ability to relate and communicate to all levels.
