We’re looking for full-time Vehicle Maintenance Technicians @ Finch/York operations site, could it be you? 

  

Your future role 

  

As a Vehicle Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for providing field support for maintenance, repairs, and/or operation of vehicles in line with specified Quality & Delivery procedures for the Finch West LRT project. 

 

In addition, you will be involved in designing tests/investigating methods, set up tests and report test results to engineering and/or supplier to improve design/product quality. 

 

While interacting daily with co-workers, external suppliers/contractors and management, all activities will be performed in accordance with strict Health & Safety procedures as prescribed by legislation and the ALSTOM Health, Safety & Environment policies. 

  

  

You’ll be responsible for 

  

·      Complying with and enforcing EHSS policies and rules 

·      Performing various maintenance activities on LRT vehicles 

·    Troubleshooting of equipment and operating portable test equipment, testing devices and special tools  

·     Ensuring all information, equipment/parts are available and prepared for efficient execution 

·       Reporting activities through a Computerized Maintenance Management system  

·       Closure of all Work Orders with accurate information and on time    

 

  

 We’ll look to you for 

  

·       Your strong aptitude to troubleshoot electromechanical systems and embedded software. 

·       To report and record incidents, any damage or shortage of parts of electromechanical equipment accurately  

·      Providing technical expertise to subcontractors, project team and less experienced personnel

· Formal training and solid hands-on experience (5+ yrs) on various electro-mechanical systems  

· Knowledge of Technician Operation Standard 

· EHS champion and field expert 

· Ability to use high power tools and operate heavy equipment  

· Flexibility and availability to work on 24/7 rotational shifts 

· Strong supporter of teamwork with good communication & computer skills
