Could you be the full-time onsite Track & OCS Technician in Finch, ON, CA we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical and operational expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a critical role in maintaining and troubleshooting assets on the guideway, ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of operations. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Rail System Team, Systems Operation Manager, subcontractors), participate in emergency response or extreme weather operations, and perform inspections and maintenance tasks through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and much more.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • You’ll specifically take care of maintaining and troubleshooting the assets on the guideway of the line, such as fences, track, turnouts, litter picking, greens management, drainage control of the platform and tunnel, overhead catenary system, and access control, but also participating in the maintenance of other assets like tunnel ventilation, security systems, and pumps.
  • Performing manual work and occasionally operating powered equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Conducting ice and snow clearance operations.
  • Driving and managing non-revenue vehicles such as railroad cranes, ballast regulators, and Hi-Rail vehicles when required.
  • Carrying out tasks in strict adherence to Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
  • Undertaking all levels of examination and work arising involving equipment/working manuals, shunting, and reformation exams.
  • Exchanging or repairing assets of subsystems as needed.

  • Degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience or understanding of rail/track environments and track maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards.
  • Familiarity with basic electrical systems and catenary systems (desirable).
  • A valid G license (mandatory).
  • Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and during night shifts.
  • Planning and organizational skills to prioritize daily workloads.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to new ideas and changing environments.
  • A team spirit that supports collaboration and cooperation.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to consistently produce accurate and thorough work.
