Key accountabilities
Manage the Yard and/or Warehouse of a project, to enable the delivery of material and equipment in the optimal conditions: quantity and quality.
- The Yard &/or Warehouse Manager is in charge of defining the sizing and organisation of the yard, warehouse, storage areas, parking areas, and facilities in order to deliver the material and equipment for installation/construction activities in conformity with the Basic and Detail Designs, the installation/construction procedures, the QA/QC system, the contractual and local regulation rules, the Time Schedule and site access scenario in place and the construction budget.
- He participates to the Construction/Installation core team meeting and report – weekly / monthly -on progress and Quality Cost Delivery (QCD) KPI.
- The Yard &/or Warehouse Manager is in charge of the reception and storage of the installation/construction materials and equipment. He ensures the conformity of the materials received with the technical and contractual documents.
- He prepares the materials (pre-assembly) and equipment in his areas of preparation to facilitate the installation/construction activities on site, in a competent and consistent way, so that all key activities are properly controlled.
- He organizes the delivery on the materials and equipment on site with the support of his logistic team (charging the trucks &/or railway plants/trains).
- He prepares all the preparation documentation and reports any non-conformity to the engineering, procurement teams and construction/installation managers.
- He manages the stock of equipment, tools, consumables and personnel protective equipment for the whole installation/construction teams.
- He ensures the control of equipment and tools certification if required.
- He recruits his team (Warehouse keeper, workers, drivers and logistic teams) and manages the people in term of assessment, skills, training, team spirit, etc.
- The Yard Manager makes his team applies the waste policy on all the yard areas (storage, warehouse, etc.).
- The Yard Manager is responsible of his teams and subcontractors works in compliance with Alstom HSE and local rules.
- The Yard Manager is responsible for his budget and the yard area (storage, warehouse, etc.) Quality Plan & HSE Plan plans implementation.
Delivery
- Weekly progress report + 3 weeks schedule
- Materials Preparation ITP (Inspection & Test Plan)
- Monthly Cost report
- Preparation Work Method Statements for the installation/construction activities including the template of the Quality Control Inspection Form.
- Weekly Quality report based on the Non-Conformities Reports (NCR) analysis and the Quality Control reports
- HSE indicators
- Weekly Hourly report of the preparation and logistics teams.
- Follow-up and analysis of the equipment and the tools (Maintenance, certification, …) and materials consumption

He/she must be based on-shore, on site, typically in the Project Leading Unit.
Performance measurements
- Level of availability of the installation/construction material and equipment
- Client complaints follow-up (non-conformity forms)
- Costs (QC, Cost of Non-Quality, etc.)
Bachelor/Master degree in Supply chain & Logistics Mangement or industrial Engineering
Experience
An experience in similar position in industrial company is mandatory

Good communication skills in French and English
