Logistics Engineer
Main responsibilities:
- Design: develop and put in place solutions to improve logistic flows meeting QCDE targets
- Quality: apply solutions to protect parts during all logistic operations (transport, unloading, storage, line feeding, …)
- Costs: save money & cash (calculate ROI Return On Investment, design standard packaging, reduce transport costs, …)
- Delay: reduce work labor time in the warehouse (picking, kitting hours, …) & in production
- EHS: improve ergonomics at workstation (internal kitting trolley), and reduce waste packaging (zero unpacking)
- Design internal logistic processes and put in place the correct parameters in the ERP (stock strategy, ABC classification, …)
- Put in place actions to align physical flow and system flow and to improve the stock accuracy
Operational activities:
- Design packaging solutions (define flow, calculate batch size, optimize packaging & transport costs, analyze milk-run, calculate ROI and logistic loop, realize business case returnable vs lost packaging, …)
- Define warehouse layouts, its internal flows and storage policy (define C-class storage management, realize business case on VMI, create & implement mirror area, put in place visual management, Kanban flow, FIFO, FEFO, lean management, …)
- Optimize the line feeding (design standard kitting trolley, warehouse & production line footprint and sequencing, …)
- Participate to the different gates review of RFQ (Request For Quotation) by negotiating terms of supply chain specification
- Participate to ABC classification and contribute to C-Class activity according to the standard rules in place
- Work closely with suppliers, industrialization, material planning, warehouse, sourcing, manufacturing teams
Will report to the Logistics Manager
Educational requirements:
- Graduated from Engineering school or equivalent preferably in Supply Chain
Experience
- An experience in an industrial environment is mandatory
- Team management experience

- Strategic and methodical skills
