Could you be the full-time Project Manager in Etobicoke we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your project management expertise in a dynamic and innovative field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and goal-oriented teammates.

You'll drive the execution of projects with low criticality, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and customer expectations while maximizing results in terms of cash flow and margin. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as engineering, procurement, and operations), lead project governance activities, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of defining project strategies and managing customer relationships, but also ensuring compliance with Alstom’s project management and execution processes.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Accountability for project QCDP (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Performance) performance and optimization of project financial performance (Margin & Cash) ,

  • Proper transfer from tender to project, including definition of project objectives and main drivers to achieve customer satisfaction ,

  • Ownership of the Project Management Work Package (WP), ensuring all activities within the WP are aligned with QCDP objectives ,

  • Resource management, including defining project core team staffing and escalating when resource availability does not match project needs ,

  • Proactive risk, savings, and opportunity management, as well as arbitration of QCDP re-baselining and change management at the project level ,

  • Team leadership, ensuring alignment of key project stakeholders and engagement of project teams toward successful achievement of objectives,

  • Management of project progress and KPIs, with transparent reporting to senior management during business and critical project reviews,

  • Ensuring alignment with contractual requirements, including contract management, variation orders, and customer relationship management,

  • Representing Alstom towards customers and external stakeholders, such as consortiums or joint ventures,

  • Ensuring compliance with ethical, safety, and quality standards, including the Code of Ethics & Compliance, EHS, Railway Safety, and the Project Management Manual

  • Degree in engineering, business, or a related field

  • Experience or understanding of project management methodologies and tools

  • Knowledge of financial performance metrics, including margin and cash flow

  • Familiarity with contract management and customer relationship management

  • A project management certification (e.g., PMP or equivalent)

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder coordination skills

  • Problem-solving and risk management capabilities
