Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your financial expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and resourceful teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in driving the financial strategy and success of projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Managers, Risk Management, and Tax Compliance), provide financial advice and guidance to support decision-making, and much more.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Acting as a business partner to provide finance advice, guidance, and tutoring to the core project team
  • Escalating risks and opportunities to provide visibility to management
  • Forecasting, challenging, and approving Project Financial KPIs such as cash, sales, and margin
  • Controlling the project gross margin through detailed work package reviews
  • Communicating with Project Stakeholders to provide reliable Business Cases to assist in the decision-making
  • Optimizing financial aspects of the project, including Tax, Hedging, and Financing
  • Ensuring compliance with local regulations, especially for tax and statutory accounts purposes
  • Building business cases and scenario models for government-funded programs
  • Operating within a complex matrix organization to manage capital projects
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of financial processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate the following mandatory qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting & Finance, or a related field 

  • 5+ years of relevant project experience 
  • Experience or understanding of planning, project accounting, and internal control as a finance lead within a project delivery team 

  • Ability to manage capital projects and operate within a complex matrix organization 

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills 

  

We value your unique background, and the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: 

  • Postgraduate studies in Project Management 

  • Experience in building business cases and scenario models for government-funded programmes 

  • Experience and knowledge of IFRS standards and professional accounting principles 

  • Formal Project Management discipline recognized accreditation (e.g., PMI-accredited) 

  • Technical skills including SAP, Planisware planning model, Basware & Ariba, Analysis for Office, Data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) 

  • Strong financial analysis and business case development skills 

  • Resilience, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset

Salary Details:

CAD 90,000 to 100,000 annually (To be negotiated) / 40 hours per week 

Annual salary review cycle: Takes place every year.

Annual Short-Term Incentive Plan: You will be eligible to participate in the Company’s annual Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP), as amended from time to time. The amount payable to an employee is determined by annually set targets for the Company and the employee’s performance during the year. Target incentive will represent 4% of your annual gross base salary.
