Join us as a Principal Electrical Engineer, and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Edmonton, Alberta.

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will provide support to leadership for planning, directing and guiding the Maintenance and Operation of Infrastructure and Facilities.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Provide Technical assistance to the operation and maintenance of Infrastructure. Ensures all Infrastructure assets are effectively functional, reliable and safely operated and maintained to meet customer expectations;
  • Provide Technical assistance to the Testing and Commissioning of existing and new assets in the Infrastructure;
  • Provide Technical assistance for asset failures;
  • Manage issues arising and relations with all stakeholders. Liaise with Stakeholders and ensure Communication and understanding of execution of duties in the area of responsibility.

 

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering;
  • You have five (5) years of experience in a Technical Management or Leadership role preferably in Rail Transit Operations and Maintenance or a similar environment;
  • Professional Engineer designation – APEGA;
  • A valid Alberta Operators license;
  • Project planning and management experience;
  • Fast learning, systematic thinking and planning, logical decision making in a complex technical environment;
  • Excellent English communication skills, advanced both written and spoken.
