We are looking for a Shift Production Manager at East Ham, London, United Kingdom.
Purpose of the role
You will be required to work closely with the Depot Management team and Customer, to ensure the safe and effective delivery of the Electrostar Class 357 and Aventra Class 720 fleet at East Ham depot
Responsibilities:
- Manage the production team, supporting delivery and completion of planned/unplanned maintenance and component exchange programs
- Providing technical and planning support to the operator
- Identify and implement maintenance optimisation opportunities
- Define and lead maintenance staff training requirements and training program
- Identify tooling/equipment requirements for all maintenance activities
- Conduct and record regular PGIs, IPCs and Safety Conversations to ensure compliance with Local and Alstom Processes
Requirements
- Strong project management, leadership and communications skills
- HNC (or equivalent experience) in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
- Technical Knowledge of Electrostar/Aventra platforms desirable
- IT skills including Excel and Sharepoint
- Experience of working in a similar pressured and fast-paced, 24/7 environment
- Good understanding of English language (written and verbal)
- Experience of managing a team and being accountable for all people management activities including absence management, appraisals, discipline and grievances
- Experience of leading, coaching and & motivating a team to achieve individual & departmental development
- Experience of train maintenance (hands on, supervision/management) is beneficial
- English- fluent
