Your future role

 

The Finance Controller is responsible for all financial activities in country. You will manage the financial team and will be the key finance point of contact for the operations & commercial teams. You will assist and advise the Country MD for all financial matters relative to the country and monitor the Country objectives through performance monitoring. You will also ensure that all operational managers in the country get the adequate support from the finance organisation.

 

We’ll look to you for:

 

  • Support to Business & act as Business Partner:
    • Tender Controlling – Follow project controlling from tendering to cash collection, including support, challenge and validation.
    • Meetings - Presents the Region’s results to the Region SVP, Region Management Committee, the SVP Finance and Executive Committee.
    • Financing & Treasury - Drives the process in their perimeter. Ensures cash optimisation and project financing.  
    • M&A - Supports Group M&A activities in their perimeter.
    • Strategy - Financial partner in charge of co-establishing the strategy in their perimeter.

 

  • Controlling Role:
    • Manage Controlling in a complex industrial environment, especially on tenders and risks on long term contract.
    • Reporting – Ensure reporting compliance to group guidelines.
    • Project Controlling - Challenges projects financial data to help cluster/country Management to keep projects under control, optimise profit and cash.
    • Industrial/OH Controlling - Drives optimisation actions to achieve competitiveness target.
    • Restructuring - Is part of the decision-making process jointly with Operations and Sector Controlling.
    • Budget / CL / Rolling forecasts: Challenge country/sites in order to propose a consolidated financial situation in line with management expectations.

 

  • Compliance Role:
    • Accounting: ensure all Group legal entities operating in the cluster/country are included and reported in Group accounts perimeter; align all units in the country on accounting standards applicable within the Group; check that reported information reconcile with local statutory account.
    • Closing - Supervises closing process at cluster/country level.  Drive the management cycle and ensure proper reporting compliance.
    • Taxes - Manage Tax at country level. Includes transfer pricing, VAT, indirect tax, customs, project tax architecture.
    • Internal Control - Ensures the countries’ compliance. Ensure that the units establish a sound internal system of controlling so that the activities results are detected, performances monitored and reported free from bias.

 

  • Efficiency Role:
    • Processes & Core-model - Optimises processes, drives the changes towards group core model.
    • Tools/ORGA improvement - Ensures the effective promotion of Group Tools and Methodologies (e.g. NSS)

 

  • Manage Treasury at Country level. Includes cash pooling, hedging, bonding and project funding.

  • Significant experience in Finance Management.
  • Industrial expertise
  • Prior experience in Finance roles, including positions such as Site Controller and/or Project Controller.
  • Experience of managing of a team.
  • CIMA qualification or equivalent is required.
  • Understanding of Financing & some expert skills is a plus such as Hedging, IFRS 15 etc
  • Ability to Work in an International Environment
