Could you be the full-time onsite Lead Buyer in Dubai, UAE that we’re looking for?

 

Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement and contract management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and results-driven teammates. You'll play a pivotal role in defining and implementing the Project Procurement Strategy, ensuring Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) commitments are met. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Legal, Procurement, Project Management), lead supplier negotiations, and monitor Procurement project performance, and much more."

We’ll look to you for:

  • Securing QCD Procurement Commitment as built at the tender phase and ensuring alignment with SSMs and Procurement Teams. 

  • Defining the Project Procurement Strategy in collaboration with the Procurement Platform Director (PPLD) and ensuring its proper application by procurement teams and stakeholders. 

  • Collaborating with the Legal Department to establish and enforce project-specific legal requirements, such as agreements and RFQ letters. 

  • Leading supplier negotiations and managing the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process. 

  • Monitoring and reporting on Procurement project QCDT and legal project evolution, ensuring compliance with work package sheet commitments. 

  • Organizing procurement launch meetings and maintaining a general vision of supplier progress, identifying and addressing challenges proactively. 

  • Governing supplier contract execution, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and mitigating potential risks or claims. 

  • Ensuring the deployment and application of proper processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms across the project. 

  • Supporting commodity strategy by consolidating needs, providing inputs, and representing commodities in collaboration with stakeholders. 

  • Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 

  • Experience or understanding of procurement processes, project management, and supplier relationship management. 

  • Knowledge of contract management and legal awareness. 

  • Familiarity with working in a matrix environment and coordinating cross-functional teams. 

  • Strong communication skills and ability to build effective relationships. 

  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) objectives. 

  • Ability to challenge and drive initiatives with resilience and adaptability. 

  • Rigorous and structured approach to problem-solving and decision-making. 

  • International mindset with an openness to diverse perspectives and cultures. 

  • Fluent in English, with additional languages being an advantage.
