Your future role

 

"Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, proactive, and collaborative teammates. You'll ensure a safe and healthy environment for our people and contractors during projects, minimize impacts on the Environment (environmental footprint of operations & management of historical pollution), and protect Alstom assets to reduce risks of business interruption from fire and natural catastrophes. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, lead EHS activities on site, and much more."

 

We’ll look to you for:

 

Lead EHS activities on site

    • Cooperate with the internal and external stakeholders to achieve EHS objectives.
    • To achieve EHS contractual requirements and KPIs
    • To perform EHS Risk Assessment and to define appropriate measures to control risks.
    • To prepare, implement and maintain emergency plans.
    • To coordinate and control activities with respect of EHS, especially where interfaces are involved with other contractors or operation areas.
    • Provide support and advice to site personnel to prevent injury, damage to plant and equipment, fire, environmental pollution.
    • Recognize the best practices and the good performance. React to violations to regulations and Alstom Standards.
    • Advise other Site personnel on all aspects of EHS applicable to site activities.

Develop Site EHS Management System

    • To develop, deploy and maintain the local procedures and tools and make sure they are aligned with Alstom Standards and international standards (ISO 14001 and ISO45001).
    • To ensure that Alstom EHS standards and tools (Alstom Zero Deviation Plan (AZDP), Transport Operational Performance in Environment (TOPE), Transport Key processes) are deployed at Site level.

EHS Compliance

    • To ensure compliance of the site activities according to the EHS Plan, guidelines and work instructions.
    • Perform EHS legal compliance checks for specific requirements.

 

Develop EHS culture in the site

    • Inform, instruct and train employees to carry out the work in safe & environment-friendly mode according to the method of statement.
    • Participate in the implementation of the site EHS training programs by providing EHS inductions and ensuring Toolbox meetings are organized.

Report, Measure & Review

    • To capture, report, record, investigate and analyse accidents/incidents in order to implement corrective and preventive actions. 
    • Prepare EHS reports as per contractual requirements and when needed. Can be in charge of feeding EHS reporting system in line with Group reporting requirements.
    • Carry out inspections of work areas and carry out EHS audits and report any discrepancy.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, Engineering or any related field
  • Min 5 years’ experience in EHS practices in construction or manufacturing environments.,
  • Good Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.,
  • Deep knowledge of local legal EHS requirements.
  • Health & Safety Qualification recognized by the enforcing authorities in the country of operation.,
  • Ability to perform EHS Risk Assessments and implement control measures.,
  • Experience in developing and maintaining EHS Management Systems.,
  • Proficiency in EHS compliance checks and legal requirements.,
  • Effective communication skills to develop EHS culture and deliver training.,
  • Experience in incident investigation and reporting, with a focus on corrective and preventive actions.
