TRAIN SYSTEM – Train System Operation
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Train System Engineer to be part of the Train System team in Alstom. In this role you will technically lead the engineering studies to reach the required performance and fulfil the needs of our customers.
As a Train System Engineer, you will focus on understanding the environment in which our trains operate, analysing our customers need. This will be within a Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) structure to confirm technical requirements. You will be defining the full context of use, so that the requirements for the vehicle architecture (Mechanical, Electrical, Network and Communications) and the interfaces between are confirmed for the design and are clearly understood by all involved.
Working in multi-disciplined teams and collaborating across the Engineering team and with wider stakeholders, you will own the development of the Operability specifications on a project ensuring that they are consistent, complete, and correct. You will review and confirm train designs to ensure that the System requirements are being met throughout the project life cycle
As a Train System Engineer, you will have been practiced in the ability to go beyond action, being agile and be effective within a cross-cultural community, be self-aware and place a priority on personal development and the development of others both in your team and in the wider engineering community, you will be versed in the encouragement of strategic thinking and promote innovation whilst demonstrating an ethical and civic outlook.
