For our location in Derby (UK) we are currently looking to hire for a Team Leader Passenger Information System and CCTV role.


Purpose of the Job


The Team Leader Passenger Information System and CCTV leads a highly specialized team formed by both permanent employees as well as contractors, in the successful completion of product design and integration tasks on time and in quality.

He/ She leads people in a challenging technical context as well as secure, maintain and develop core know-how.



Your responsibilities will include:


Responsible for managing the capacity and capability of the team. Assign people, equipment, facilities, funding, or other resources needed by the team to perform the tasks.
Ensures that the Passenger Information System and CCTV Team is focused on meeting the financial, schedule and technical requirements of the projects they are responsible for
Maintains close contact with staff on status of their work. Communicates and enforces the engineer’s responsibility for tracking their progress and adherence to budgeted. Develops action plans and coordinates resources to address and resolve problems as needed
Develops the Passenger Information System and CCTV team to achieve full potential and maximum contributions. Creates and implements plans to improve employee skills, motivation and engagement. Management and development of relevant skills (workforce planning, performance management, career development, succession planning and recruitment)
Provides leadership and direction to the engineers within the team. Ensures adherence to engineering processes to provide high quality designs that meet customer’s schedule and expectation, including but not limited to Agile methodologies
Optimizes communication and relationships with customers and other functions. Continuous optimization of processes/tools/behaviours by considering business requirements, customer needs, technical innovations, and new market conditions





Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent work experience (preferably in a complex, large organisation)
Strong technical experience within agile development projects.
Proven leadership experience.
Good understanding of system integration within complex products. Experience of passenger information or other safety-critical systems is highly valued.
A strong continuous improvement mind-set.
Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, while working in a complex, international environment.
Good cultural awareness skills. Able to draw strength from teamwork / collaboration irrespective of geographical, organizational, and cultural boundaries.
English at a fluent level.
Analytic & structured, with strong communication skills.
