PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

 

The Operational Quality Assurance (OQA) Engineer supports the operational cells in implementing, managing and improving all quality relevant elements, such as product quality requirements, the process preparation, in process control, feedback/feed forward, and quality process management. They support the cells in the correct usage of Q6 elements to ensure quality and to optimize the problem-solving process.
Quality control and inspection activities are supported according to the defined process. The final inspection before handover to the customer is a key OQA activity.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Supporting operations and especially the cells, as well as supporting departments and functions in the proper usage of the Quality elements.
• Quality control and inspection activities, identification and reoccurring, and systematic problems. Initiating of problem-solving processes, supporting feedback process and integration of lessons learnt into causing functions.
• The final inspection before handover to the customer.
• Support the effective problem-solving by leading and conducting problem-solving processes, using structured problem-solving methods.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

• Relevant experience in a similar role (Quality Assurance) in rail industry (alternatively, in other transportation or similar industries);
• Very good knowledge and experience of quality standards, quality checks, Q6 standards and elements, especially feedback/feed forward processes, quality gates, problem solving; Knowledge of PDCA, Lean, BOS;
• Ability to drive and conduct problem-solving processes using structured problem-solving methods;
• Cross-functional knowledge. Ability to work in close collaboration with methods, manufacturing and continuous improvement areas;
• Language skills required: advanced/business fluent level of English.
