Your future role
The QMS Manager will ensure the compliance, effectiveness and improvement to the D&IS Product Line (Signalling & Infrastructure) Quality Management System across the UK&I.
With a Focus & Passion to convert the findings from Non-Conformance and Risk into data analysis through Themes into Improvements, to lead change and improve the QMS via Kaizen events and improvement initiatives.
We’ll look to you for:
- Coordinate Alstom Product Line processes and method & tools local deployment, together with local “Quality métiers” functions.
- Support and Co Author site documentation via AMS.
- Ensure Process governance, Risk and Opportunity management with site interested parties.
- Support Site Process Correspondence with Process Compliance.
- Provide local teams with effective support (training, day-to-day coaching) as for process application.
- Provide AMS4U Training and Support to Site
- Ensure Quality Management System documentation is properly managed, updated, communicated.
- Keep informed the site management team about the status of processes deployment / implementation / results.
- Ensure site QMS conformance with Alstom and Region QMS, Customer standards and ISO9001/IRIS requirements/CMMI/ECM...
- Enhance the assessment of QMS effectiveness through Internal audit organization, Process Reviews, Process Inspections.
- Coordinate and Facilitate External Customer and Certification Audits for Site including Project and Industrialisation Locations - Hatfield / Plymouth
- Prepare, follow, and analyse QMS assessments achieved by certification bodies and main customers - via Customer Satisfaction Survey. Communicate about QMS improvement actions, through Quality network (site “Quality métiers” functions)
- To ensure organisation and consolidation results of Process Reviews, and Site Quality Management Review (Prepare and present Integrated Management Review 6 monthly to Senior Leadership Team)
- With effective organization of internal and external audits and management of action plans resulting from them (actual progress consistent with closing deadlines).
- Drive QMS Improvement Initiatives to improve the effectiveness and performance of the business though the QMS, Analysing Trends in Non-Conformance Trends & R&O and enacting to make improvements - Via Kaizen events and CI initiatives.

- Quality professional background and knowledge is beneficial. Knowledge of the railway sector (standards, certifications, etc.) is an asset in this position.
- Quality management system, project and operation.
- Experience in managing Quality tools and problem-solving tools, Experience in Continuous Improvement Techniques and Facilitation of Kaizen Events.
- Rigor, Communication, knowledge of Quality standard (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, ECM,...) and quality tools
- Experience in operational activities and in documentation management
- Data driven and courageous - Ability to manage teams in cross and multicultural relationships, Analyse- Data and find trends / themes/ opportunities.
- Collaboration and team working.
