A new role has become available within the ETCS team which will provide exciting development opportunities and the chance to be the key partner for the project teams. 
The successful candidate will be required to work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure ETCS Certification and Authorisation (C&A) deliverables are met and duties will include, but are not exhausted to; 

 

  • Undertake the role of Certification & Authorisation Manager on several ETCS onboard projects and identify the C&A requirements requested by external parties
  • Prepare evidence documents plan (eg. for TSIs or National Rules) with the project team and consolidate the C&A documents to be submitted to independent assessors and/or authorising entities
  • Organise periodic reviews of evidence documentation and assessment reports 
  • Maintain certification related data in the requirement management tools and keep track of relevant C&A reporting
  • Collaborate with independent assessors and authorising entities and participate in themodifications and follow-ups of the certified/authorised vehicle configurations
  • Compile the C&A application file(s)

 

To be considered for this position, you require:

  • In depth knowledge of Safety processes applicable to Railway engineering 
  • Knowledge of rail vehichles & key interfaces with ETCS onboard, functional safety and validation, railway standards and regulations
  • A detailed understanding of ETCS European TSIs 
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to communicate between multiple stakeholders
  • A problem solving mindset
