Could you be the full-time Lead Change Manager in Derby to work on the Cairo Monorail project we are looking for?

 

Your future role

 

Take on a new challenge and apply your Change Management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Stephen Hare (Head of Change Management, Derby), and work alongside dedicated and passionate teammates.

You'll master the quality of deliveries by ensuring accuracy, consistency and traceability of the delivered producets and services through the application of CCM acitivities in a High Critical Project or Program and keep the project / program configuration under control and manage changes during the whole lifecycle fo the Project or Program.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Leading the CCM activities in the Project/Program. 
  • Applying Configuration and Change standard procedures, instructions, templates etc, and ensures that team members do not bypass them.
  • Representing the CCM Métier in project and site meetings.
  • Performing REX for CCM and leads improvements of the CCM activities within their Program/Project and also within the CCM Métier.
  • Ensuring the activities and Roles & Responsibilities defined in the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) are applied and followed.
  • Evaluating and provides or approves the compliance statement on all CCM related requirements (i.e. customer, partner and internal).
  • Reporting and escalating any CCM related issues within the Project / Program organization and proposes possible solution.
  • Is accountable and reports on CCM Performance Indicators; derives and manages actions (PDCA).
  • Ensuring the execution of CCM audits and DfQ Gates for CCM deliverables.
  • Contributes to CCM training materials development and perform training when required/requested.
  • Performs CCM Audits on demand.
  • Performs configuration management activities, such as: 
    • Identification, management and accuracy of items under configuration control.
    • Prepares Configuration Strategy and release notes, following review with stakeholders, for Configuration Baselines, incl. for sub-system target configuration data and ensures consistency.
    •  Ensures the establishment of the Configuration Status Accounting Report (CSAR) (i.e. As Build/As Maintained/As Installed) and monitors its compliance.
    • Ensures Supplier Configuration Management incl. CCM requirement negotiation and requested CCM documentation.
    • Ensures the "end-to-end" traceability of every change request including assignment to Baseline and/ or Target Configuration.
    • Documents and assesses deviations from Configuration Baselines and Target/As-Built configurations and ensures they are managed, e.g. by waiver, concessions, required changes.

Performs Change Management activities, such as:

  • Organizes and leads the Change Boards.
  • Ensures the completeness, correctness, clarity and timeline of Change Requests in cooperation with the Change requestor, throughout all stages of a change request.
  • Monitors Change requests and aligns all project stakeholders on the changes.
  • Prioritizes Change Requests in cooperation with requestor and other involved functions, incl. assignment to a  Configuration Baseline.
  • Facilitates event management (e.g. electrical, software etc.) and transfers it when necessary into the Change Management Process.

  • DEGREE is preferable but not essential, ideally in Engineering, Project Management/Business Management or equivalent
  • Expert knowledge of Configuration & Change Management
  • Detailed knowledge and/or previous experience of Business Process Management, Project Management, Risk Management, Requirements Management Supply Chain, Engineering, Industrialization, Data Management and Document Control inter-related with CCM. 
  • Detailed knowledge of Alstom configuration & change processes and related processes of contributing Métiers/ / Functions
  • Substantial experience in a configuration and change management role
  • Work experience in an international environment
  • Mandatory knowledge of railway products, railway solutions (signalling, telecom etc.), systems and components
  • Knowledge of CCM tools (e.g. ALM, Clear Quest, Clear Case SAP, PLM, AEC-tpPLM  etc.)
  • Ability to communicate with all involved project/program stakeholders
  • Contributing to continuous improvement on processes and standards for CCM 
  • Preferable trained to a recognized Configuration and Change Management standard
